Ibrahim Salem Al-Bakri, the father of the martyr Haneen, commented on the circulating news about the arrival of some sheikhs and notables to abdicate the killer of his daughter #Haneen under the pretext of reconciliation.
The father announced his rejection of any reconciliation or concession with his daughter’s blood, stressing adherence to law and order and demanding the execution of the death sentence against the perpetrator.
Ibrahim Salem Al-Bakri explained that he and his family have been outside Aden for a while, stressing that they are continuing their journey to achieve justice and retribution for their daughter Haneen. The father praised the role of the judiciary, which was fair to them in the court of first instance and appeal, looking forward to the next session in the Supreme Court and the remaining procedures.
Ibrahim Salem Al-Bakri indicated that if the visit was for the sake of humanity or religion, he would thank everyone for their kind initiative and apologize for not being present to honor and receive them. He stressed that the door open to everyone is forgiveness, but he made it clear that he does not have the ability to pardon his daughter’s killer and refuses to give up retribution.
Al-Bakri called on all sheikhs and tribal notables not to use the tribe, especially the tribal initiative, to interfere in this issue. He stressed that tribal attempt must take place from the first moment after the crime occurs, and not after the rulings are issued. In response to the killer's claims that he did not kill his daughter, the father confirmed that the killer tried to escape after killing his daughter and tried to kill his other daughter and injured him, and he refused to give up her blood and press charges against others.
He pointed out that it is self-evident that the door to tribal negotiation should not be opened in this case.
Ibrahim Salem Al-Bakri concluded his message by thanking and appreciating all the people who work for justice and the rights of victims, and explained that he appeals to the Presidential Council and the Attorney General to expedite the implementation of the death sentence against his daughter’s killer.
