Prince Turki Al -Faisal calls for the annexation of Yemen to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries

The head of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Prince Turki Al -Faisal, stressed that the stability of Yemen is a basic pillar of the region's security, noting the importance of his inclusion in the Gulf Cooperation Council after its stability, due to its human and historical depth and its role in securing this vital region.
Prince Turki, during his speech at the International Conference of the Saudi Commercial Arbitration Center yesterday in Riyadh, explained that the experience of the Gulf Cooperation Council is a successful model in the Arab world, calling for its development and enhancing economic and political integration, to the establishment of a stronger Gulf union capable of facing regional and global challenges.
He pointed out that the region has an important geical position thanks to its oil wealth and geographical location, which makes unifying efforts necessary to enhance its strength and protect its interests.
Prince Turki Al -Faisal emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with other Gulf and Arab countries, has succeeded in addressing regional and international challenges, reviewing its achievements in maintaining security and stability, despite the crises in the region.
He added that the Saudi leadership continues to work with Arab and Islamic countries to address its crises and achieve security and peace, stressing that the Kingdom will spare no effort for the stability of the region.
Prince Turki shed light on the state of turmoil and uncertainty in the international system, noting that the United Nations and its principles face a difficult test in light of the competition between the major powers and the decline in commitment to international laws.
On the Arab level, he explained that the Arab world failed to manage many of its affairs during the past decades, stressing that the way the present management will determine the features of the future, calling for extracting lessons from the past to avoid repeating mistakes.
He warned against the spread of tribal, sectarian and regional conflicts, which threaten Arab stability, stressing the need to strengthen the national state and achieve a balanced relationship between governments and peoples to ensure stability and development.
Prince Turki Al -Faisal stressed that the Palestinian issue will remain the focus of the conflict in the region, considering that the continuation of the Israeli occupation and the stumbling of fair solutions impedes the stability of the region and hinders many Arab and international projects.
And about the International Conference of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration, the Prince indicated that the world is witnessing major transformations in international trade, with the decline in freedom of trade and the escalation of national economic tendencies, which requires the development of new legal frameworks to resolve commercial disputes, with a focus on the role of commercial arbitration as a major tool in the next stage.
