The death of a starring father in Ibb in front of his child's eyes ... a tragic story that shakes Yemen

In a scene that overflows with pain and suffering, a Yemeni citizen died hungry, while his young child believed that he was asleep, on one of the sidewalks of the city of Ibb in the center of the country.
A video and pictures circulated were documented the moment the child “Ammar” was sitting next to his father’s body, “Yasser Al -Bakkar”, waiting for him to wake up, not realizing that hunger had ended his father’s life in the battle of survival.
According to activists, Al -Bakkar, who descends from the isolation of a young people in the Ibb countryside district, was the father of four children, one of whom was "Ammar", who was not aware that his father had died after hunger was exhausted during his search for a living.
This story, which met with a wide interaction between the Yemenis on social media, reflected the size of the tragedy that millions live under poverty and economic collapse, especially in the areas under the control of the Houthis, such as Ibb Governorate.
Yemeni activist Mahmoud Al -Ghaithi had taken a picture of the child and his father by chance, before he later realized that the man had died. When Al -Ghaithi approached to examine the pulse, the child was sitting in the squatting next to his father, not aware of what happened.
Al -Ghaithi wrote, commenting on the scene: "The child was surprised by our gathering around him, trying to wake his father without realizing the truth, as if he was looking for reassurance in his existence.
He added: “He left life and the bite of bread in his mouth.
For his part, Yemeni journalist Nasser Al -Shalili commented on the scene by saying: “If this scene happened anywhere, it would have been enough to raise the anger of people and move the pronouns, but it fell in Ibb, where death and hunger would have become part of the daily scene.”
He added: "The father left hungry on the side of the road, holding the hand of his child, who thought he was asleep, unaware that this moment will accompany him for life."
