Informed sources confirmed today that the Presidential Leadership Council is in the process of taking a decision to change and implement government reforms, as part of its effort to achieve peace and stability in the country.
The sources said that the expected decision comes within the framework of coordination with the Yemeni political parties, and in line with the road map for peace with the Houthi militias, which is being discussed intensively in Riyadh with Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the ambassadors of the countries active in resolving the crisis.
The sources added that the expected change will also include government reforms, including (possibly) changing the prime minister and some officials, improving the performance of government institutions, and combating corruption.
The sources explained that re-exporting oil and gas, and paying salaries to all employees, will be among the most important priorities of the new government.
In addition, political experts expect the political talks being held under Saudi international auspices to falter, and a new round of war that may be decisive.
These developments come in light of the continuation of the UN truce in Yemen, which has entered its sixth month, without achieving tangible progress in the peace file, in light of Houthi violations and provocations on a number of fighting fronts.
