Children of Yemen .. How did they become "hostages" for the Houthis in exchange for a bread of bread?

Yemeni human rights sources said that a militia resorted to blackmailing the difficult families in the areas under their control, by linking the humanitarian aid provided by the international community and public services, by registering their children in the "summer courses" that they hold to recruit children.
The sources added that the summer programs organized by the Houthi militia this year under the slogan "Science and Jihad" are witnessing a remarkable decline in the turnout by children targeted annually with these sectarian activities, amid the escalation of parents ’fears of their children recruiting in the group’s ranks, at a time when the militia faces increasing international pressure.
According to the sources, the parents fear that the Houthi militia will take advantage of emotional religious slogans, such as: “victory” and “confronting America and Israel”, to recite their children forcibly, and put them in the ranks of its fighters, which makes them vulnerable to repeated American strikes, and fuel for the escalating military mobilization campaigns that the militia goes against the government forces.
In this context, the Ministry of Information Office in Al Hudaydah Governorate, affiliated with the internationally recognized Yemeni government, stated that the Houthi militia is taking advantage of the tools of local councils and its executive authorities to impose participation in its summer sessions on parents, threatening to deprive them of public services.
The office said in a statement issued on Wednesday, that they link citizens to the humanitarian aid by registering their children in these courses, taking advantage of the conditions of poverty and the need in the population.
The statement also indicated that the group uses religious platforms, and Friday sermons, as a means of intimidation, where the opposition of these courses is depicted as a departure from religion and identity, in an attempt to silence the voices rejecting its sectarian programs.
The Information Office in Al -Hodeidah pointed out that these activities come within a "systematic project aimed at recruiting children intellectually, in preparation for their sticking in military battles," considering that this constitutes a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms related to the rights of the child, and a real threat to the future of the emerging Yemeni generations.
The statement added that the summer centers broadcast "religious religious ideas, and extremist military concepts" that contribute to the consolidation of a culture of violence and hatred, and childhood turned into a victim of a systematic educational and moral crime.
He saw that these practices "turned education into a tool for sectarian and political mobilization", producing a deformed generation, suffering from psychological and behavioral disorders, and is deprived of the values of openness, coexistence and peace.
The office called on local and international bodies, and humanitarian and human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities, work to monitor and document violations against children, and take urgent steps to stop these dangerous practices, and protect childhood from exploitation and recruitment projects under false religious cover.
With the beginning of the month of April, the Houthis launched their summer programs targeting children, amid government warnings of the seriousness of these activities on the minds of children, because of the ideological contents that convert children into tools for systematic killing and destruction, in a direct threat to the societal fabric in the country.
According to a recent report by the "Justice for Yemen Charter" alliance, which includes a number of local organizations, the Houthi militia has been recruited from 2015 until last year more than 7100 Yemeni children, more than 5,500 were killed during their participation in combat actions inside the country
