A member of the political bureau of the Ansar Allah group, the Houthis, Ali Al-Qahhoum, confirmed their absolute refusal to make any concessions regarding Yemeni unity, with the results of the Yemeni crisis negotiations imminent.
Al-Qahhoum said, during an event to support Gaza that was held yesterday in Sanaa: “Our position on peace is clear, and it is the peace that the Yemenis aspire to, and it preserves sovereignty, independence, unity, and national gains that cannot be given up, no matter what.”
He added: “We have reached important and strategic understandings with Saudi Arabia, and these understandings are national par excellence, and have no specificity for the Ansar Allah group.”
Regarding these understandings, Al-Qahhoum said: “They were built on humanitarian and economic aspects as a first stage, with understandings on sovereign issues, including the disbursement of salaries and necessary, urgent and urgent economic treatments.”
He continued: “There was give and take from the Saudis regarding these aspects, including stopping the aggression, lifting the siege, the exit of foreign forces, and reconstruction.”
He added: “These are sovereign issues that can only be reached with Saudi Arabia.” “As the one who started the war and brought the coalition to Yemen,” he said.
The Houthi leader described the negotiations that took place as patriotic. Especially since the demands therein concern all Yemenis, “We cannot give up sovereignty, independence, unity, and national gains, and we will not compromise on them.”
It is expected that the results of the negotiations will be announced in the next few days.
