Dr. Rashad Mohamed Al -Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Command Council in the Russian capital, Moscow, met today, Wednesday, Chairman of the Duma Council, Viacislav Vulodin.

And discuss the meeting in the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the developments of the Yemeni situation, and regional and international issues of common concern.

In the meeting, the President of the Presidential Command Council praised the Yemeni-Russian historical relations, whose roots date back to nearly a hundred years, stressing the common concern to push it towards broader horizons of fruitful cooperation and coordination in various fields, and in the introduction the legislative aspect.

Al -Alimi praised in this context the positions of the Russian Federation alongside the Yemeni people, and their political leadership in various international forums, expressing his aspiration to continue the active role of Moscow in supporting the Yemeni state and its legitimate institutions.

Al -Alimi talked about the developments of the Yemeni situation, including the path of peace efforts stalled due to the intransigence of the terrorist Houthi militias, and the position of the legitimate government open to all initiatives aimed at ending the war in accordance with the agreed references and in particular Resolution 2216.

For his part, the Speaker of the Duma, Fayachislav Vulodin, welcomed the luxury of the president and his accompanying delegation, stressing the continued support of Russia for Yemen and its people and its aspirations to restore security, stability and peace.

Voluden pointed to important stations of relations between the two countries, expressing his confidence that the visit of the President of the Presidential Command Council to Russia will represent an important boost to strengthen these relations at all levels.

Foluden also stressed the importance of close coordination between the Duma Council and the House of Representatives in the Republic of Yemen, and the exchange of experiences and visits to serve the common interests of the two people and the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Shan’i Al -Zindani, Advisors of the Chairman of the Presidential Command Council for Defense and Security, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al -Subaihi, Development and Reconstruction Eng. Omar Al -Amoudi, Cultural Affairs Marwan Damaj, and the Yemeni Ambassador to the Russian Federation Ahmed Salem Al -Wahishi.
