The US Treasury announced, on Wednesday, that Washington imposed sanctions on people and entities in Russia, on charges of helping Houthi leader Saeed Al -Jamal to buy weapons and goods, including Ukrainian pills, which they described as stolen.
The ministry stated that those who are subject to sanctions, including the Afghan businessmen residing in Russia, Hochngi Khairat, and his brother Sahrab Khairat, had helped, the great Houthi official Saeed Al -Jamal in obtaining millions of dollars from Russia to ship to the parts under the control of the Houthis in Yemen.
The ministry added in a statement that the goods include weapons and sensitive goods, in addition to stolen Ukrainian pills.

Treasury Secretary Scott Besent said, "The Houthis are still dependent on Saeed Al -Jamal and his network to buy vital goods to supply the group's terrorist war machine."
He added: “Today’s commitment confirms our commitment to undermine the Houthi’s ability to threaten the region with their destabilizing activities.”
