The death toll in Gaza rose to 21,110 people

The total number of Palestinian deaths in the Gaza Strip rose to 21,110 as a result of the Israeli war, according to what the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today, Wednesday.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said in a statement that 195 dead and 325 injured were transferred to hospitals during the past 24 hours as a result of the Israeli attacks. Al-Qudra explained that thus the toll of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, since October 7, has risen to 21,110 dead, and 55,243 people injured with various injuries.
In another context, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics said that about 1.5 billion US dollars are the value of losses in the Palestinian territories since the start of the war on Gaza. The Central Bureau of Statistics stated that the value of the aforementioned losses is the result of an almost complete cessation of production in the Gaza Strip, and its repercussions on the West Bank, during the past two months, with the exception of direct losses in property and assets.
He explained that the estimated number of establishments for the private sector in Palestine in 2023 is about 176 thousand establishments, distributed by 56 thousand establishments in the Gaza Strip, and 120 thousand establishments in the West Bank.
The internal trade sector constitutes the largest proportion in the Gaza Strip, as it constitutes about 56 percent of the total establishments, followed by the services sector with 30 percent, while the percentage of the industrial sector reached about 10 percent, and the rest of the economic activities (construction, transportation And storage, information and communications, finance and insurance) constitute 4 percent of the total number of establishments.
It is estimated that about 29 percent of West Bank establishments had their production affected by the decline, or production was halted by 35,000 establishments. While most of the establishments in the Gaza Strip stopped practicing their economic activity, as a result of the partial or total destruction of the facilities, in addition to the continuation of the Gaza war, bringing the total number of establishments that stopped production, or whose production declined, to more than 80 thousand establishments in Palestine.
According to estimates, as a result of Israel's ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, approximately 89 percent of the total workers in the Strip stopped working, after the entire economy in the Strip was paralyzed and a number of economic establishments were destroyed.
Initial estimates also indicate that the production of economic sectors in the West Bank lost 40 percent of its production, compared to the normal rate of production, within two months, with a loss estimated at approximately 1.1 billion US dollars.
The Gaza Strip also lost 86 percent of its natural production. That is equivalent to 407 million US dollars, which will have a negative impact on public revenues in Palestine.
