The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, today, Saturday, published a video clip showing two Israeli prisoners, talking about the conditions of their detention in the Gaza Strip and sending “moving” messages to their families, while one of them appears as Hugh breaks down in tears.
The Al-Qassam Brigades wrote on the video: “Military pressure led to the death of dozens of prisoners in our hands, and prevented the rest from celebrating Easter with their loved ones,” concluding the video clip by saying, “Catch them before it is too late.”
In the video, an Israeli prisoner named Keith Segal (64 years old) from Kfar Azza appears, sending a “moving” message to his family, saying: “I love you very much (..), it is important that you know that I am fine, and I hope that you are well.” You are too.”
He also continued: “I have very beautiful memories of Easter last year, which we celebrated together,” adding before breaking down in tears: “I very much hope that we will have the best surprise that can happen.”
He pointed out that he is in danger in light of the bombing, and this is a frightening and terrifying matter, and he has been living with it for a long time, and feels that he has been abandoned, calling on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and all government ministers to be flexible in the negotiations, in order to reach a deal soon.< /p>
He added, "We feel that we are procrastinating and that the deal has taken a very long time," adding, "I wonder for how long?"
A deal while we are alive
Israeli prisoner Omri Miran (47 years old) from Kibbutz Nahal Oz also spoke, saying: “My dear family, I miss you all, my father, my brothers, my sister, my wife Alishai, my precious daughters Ronnie and Alma.”
He continued: “This year we were not able to celebrate any holiday together because of this hideous war... I hope that we will at least be able to celebrate together the next Independence Day.”
He indicated that he has been in captivity by Hamas for more than 202 days, and is living in difficult conditions under violent bombardment.
He continued his speech: “It is time to reach a deal that will get us out of here alive and in good health,” adding that “I want you to do everything in your power to put pressure on the government in all possible ways.”
It is noteworthy that approximately 129 Israeli prisoners are still being held inside the besieged Palestinian Strip, including 34 who have likely died, according to estimates by Israeli officials, after about 100 were released in a previous agreement late last November.
