A new development witnessed by the military escalation between the Palestinian factions and Israel, foretelling more consequences.

Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, threatened to kill an Israeli civilian prisoner for every Israeli targeting of civilians in the Gaza Strip without prior warning.

Abu Ubaida said in an audio recording, “We announce that every targeting of our people who are safe in their homes without prior warning will be met with regret by executing one of our enemy’s civilian hostages, and we will broadcast this with audio and video.”

The Israeli government announced earlier today that it would continue its bombing of Gaza without considering any threat to the lives of the prisoners in the hands of the Palestinian factions.

The Israeli government said, “It was decided to continue the bombing of Gaza, even if it kills the Israeli prisoners, unless we know their whereabouts.”

The Palestinian Hamas movement, which controls the Gaza Strip, announced earlier today, Monday, the killing of 4 Israeli prisoners as a result of the Israeli bombing of the Strip.

According to Israeli estimates, published for the first time on Monday, 800-1,000 Hamas militants infiltrated through a gap in the Israeli fence surrounding the Gaza Strip.

Immediately, the gunmen, who were in SUVs, regular cars, motorcycles, and balloons, attacked 20 Israeli towns and 11 Israeli military bases, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.

Within hours, the gunfire used by the militants claimed the lives of at least 800 Israelis in an unprecedented scene in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
