Nubia: upgrading 9506 martyrs and 14638 wounded in four southern governorates

The Undersecretary of Aden Governorate for Martyrs and Wounded Affairs, Alawi Al -Nuba, announced a long -awaited great achievement, represented in completing the promotion of more than (9506) martyrs and (14638) wounded from employees of the ministries of defense and interior in the governorates of Aden, Abyan, Lahj, and Al -Dhali, after arduous efforts that started since 2015.
Nubia confirmed that this achievement came after the preparation of a precise database that included all the martyrs and the wounded who fell in multiple struggle stations, which included the Southern Movement, the liberation of Abyan from Al Qaeda, the battles of Damaj, the liberation of Aden, and the subsequent terrorist events and attacks.
He added: “The wounded were classified into three categories (permanent, medium, and simple disability), and accordingly coordination was made with the concerned authorities to adopt their promotions and give them military numbers in the ministries of defense and the interior.”
He pointed out that the wounded people with permanent disabilities won the rank of second lieutenant, while those with moderate disabilities got a second assistant and first assistant. He also indicated that the Ministry of Interior had granted promotions for the first batch of its employees four years ago, and the second batch is still awaiting the completion of its procedures.
In the same context, the agent revealed that there are 1386 martyrs and 2854 wounded civilians working in state institutions, noting that they are in the process of following up their promotions through the Ministry of Civil Service, stressing the need to equate their colleagues in the military and security institutions, where he said:
“It is not fair for the military martyr to obtain a six -an upgrade, while the civil martyr is granted only one degree.”
Nubia extended his deep thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this file, headed by: President Aidroos Al -Zubaidi, Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al -Daari, Governor of Aden Ahmed Hamid Lams, Vice President of the Staff, Major General Al -Basr, Major General Ahmed Al Marzouqi, Brigadier Ali Obaid, Brigadier General Al -Khader Mezer, and the directors of the military departments in the defense and the interior.
At the end of his statement, Nubia called for an acceleration in promoting financial allocations for the payment of the salaries of martyrs and the wounded in accordance with the new promotions, and he also called on the political leadership to adopt urgent treatment grants for the injured in need of treatment abroad, according to the lists provided.
He also called for the completion of the procedures for allocating residential lands for martyrs and wounded in the approved plan, by implementing the concrete squares, enabling the beneficiaries to receive their contracts as soon as possible.
He concluded an invitation to the Arab coalition to increase the annual pilgrimage grant, confirming that only 300 grants do not meet the requirements of the large numbers of the families of the martyrs and the wounded in the four governorates.
