Red Cross: The Yemenis can no longer bear additional burdens

The International Committee of the Red Cross said that the Yemenis can no longer carry additional burdens, in comment on Israeli raids that destroyed the port of Hodeidah and Sana'a International Airport.
The committee stated in a statement that "Yemen has been subjected to several attacks since last Monday evening, which affected the port of Hodeidah and Sana'a International Airport, which are two basic outlets to enter humanitarian aid and necessary materials, such as food and medical supplies."
The statement added, "After more than ten years have passed since the conflict in Yemen, civilians and the infrastructure they depend on can no longer bear any additional burdens."
The Committee called on all parties to "take all possible precautionary measures to prevent civilian ranks, injury, or damage civilian objects, and reduce accidental damage to the minimum in all cases in compliance with the principles of international humanitarian law."
The statement concluded, "With the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Yemeni Red Crescent Society works by dedication to evacuating the injured and transferring them to medical facilities."
